Easter and Bank Holiday Opening Times

The surgery is only closed on the statutory bank holidays - we are otherwise open as normal. If you need a doctor when we are closed ring our normal number - 0844 815 1340 - and your call will automatically be transferred to the out of hours service. We normally need two working days notice for repeat prescriptions but if you are going to run out over the holidays then let our staff know and we will be able to run it off quicker.

Our opening times over the forthcoming holiday period are:

  • Thursday 21 April - 8.00 am - 6.30 pm (and extended access surgery 6.00 pm - 8.00 pm)
  • Good Friday 22 April - closed
  • Easter Saturday 23 April - Extended access surgery 8.00 am - 11.00 am (pre booked only)
  • Easter Sunday 24 April - closed
  • Easter Monday 25 April - closed
  • Tuesday 26 April - 8.00 am - 6.30 pm (and extended access surgery 6.00 pm - 8.00 pm)
  • Wednesday 27 April - 8.00 am - 6.30 pm

  • Thursday 28 April - 8.00 am - 6.30 pm (and extended access surgery 7.00 am - 8.00 am)
  • Royal Wedding Bank Holiday Friday 29 April - closed
  • Saturday 30 April - Extended access surgery 8.00 am - 11.00 am (pre booked only)
  • Sunday 1 May - closed
  • Bank Holiday Monday 2 May - closed
  • Tuesday 3 May - 8.00 am - 6.30 pm
  • Then back to normal opening times

Welcome to Dr Siobhan Waldron

Dr Siobhan Waldron has joined us today for a six months training post. She is in her first year of a three year GP training scheme and was working in the Emergency Department at Dewsbury Hospital. Doctors who wish to become GPs have to undertaken a three year training programme and have attachments in an approved training general practice. We are an approved GP training practice - Dr Brown, Dr Walsh, Dr Harding and Dr Deeley are all approve GP Trainers and Dr Waldron joins three other trainees attached to the practice - Dr Javed, Dr Tai and Dr Turek, not forgetting Dr Sumara and Dr Timperley who are both on maternity leave! We give Dr Waldron a warm welcome and hope she enjoys her time with us.
